  • Callers are screened to establish risk factors for COVID-19.

  • We are limiting the number of people in our offices and ask that any guests or visitors do not come inside the office. We are asking thise visitors/guests to wait in their vehicles or outside until the visit is complete.

Coastal Eye Associates is continuously seeking enthusiastic and committed team members to support the needs of a busy ophthalmic practice with 15 doctors.

Coastal Eye Associates is searching for Front Desk Receptionists to support the high volume of patients receiving eye care services from any of our five locations.

Candidate must be a meticulous individual able to demonstrate positive customer service skills, be reliable, be capable of multi tasking, exhibit good time management skills, display a good attitude and compassion for patients, and must be able to work Monday - Friday, during standard clinic business hours. Candidate will be required to travel to various offices within the practice (Webster, Pasadena, Texas City and/or Alvin) if necessary. Mileage is provided for mid-day travel.

Position will require candidate to be knowledgeable in obtaining medical insurance verification, update patient demographic information, collect payments, assemble, maintain and prepare patient charts, scheduling and pre-authorizations for medical procedures, be able to schedule follow up appointments and post medical charges, manage both check in and check out, and be committed to supporting our goals of providing each patient with a positive experience while visiting our clinics

  • EDUCATION: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

  • WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years’ experience in a medical office/health care setting required. Minimum one-two years’ health care insurance experience required.

  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong computer knowledge and skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.

  • MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY (Ophthalmology preferred)

  • Must possess a spontaneous desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service while being passionate within your role, along with being both efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be highly dependable and organized.

  • Must have outstanding interpersonal skills.

  • Maintains an impeccably clean, polished, professional image.

  • Must have the ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve and think independently.

  • Bilingual, preferred.
