Materials Kitter
Collect, assemble and stage parts/products per work order and stages into the correct bin to be shipped to the assembly lines.
To assist with the production and delivery of a quality product in a timely manner for internal and external customers. Eliminates scrap and additional costs using zero defects methods. To always work in a safe manner following the safety policies, housekeeping and environmental policies and work instructions
Read and understand job tickets
Pick/pull and stage parts, products and raw materials and place in appropriate bin and carts for distribution to the assembly lines. Subassembly of wires for kitting
Scan work order ticket into system
Wear/use always required personal protective equipment
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow and comply with all safety and health regulations
Perform other duties assigned by team leader or supervisor
Ability to read and write English
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to count
Ability to stand long periods of time, 8-10 hours a day.
Good eye/hand coordination
Attention to detail
Ability to get along well, communicate timely and accurately with co-workers, supervisors and team leads
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Training:
- On the job training (The training is provided to the production line operators so they can learn how to perform their basic job functions up to company standards. The training period lasts 1 to 2 weeks in most cases
During training, operators have to be monitored by supervisor and/or managers until they confirm these tasks are being carried out properly
