Position Key Accountabilities:
Operates ultrasound equipment and records results. Adjusts parameters on equipment, and reviews calibrations to assure that scans are reproducible under similar conditions.
Assists with research activities.
Performs basic maintenance on equipment to assure proper working conditions.
May participate in diagnosis process to access maternal and fetal well-being.
Assists with research activities by collecting data and participating in research projects.
Demonstrates the use of ultrasound equipment and techniques to assist with the education of students, nurses, residents, patients, and physicians.
Attend continuing education seminars to stay abreast of technological advances in ultrasound and antenatal testing.
Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or its equivalent.
Two years experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
