Summary The Software Developer for Data Integration will create and modify application integrations, general computer applications software, or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Leads small projects and assists on medium to large projects. Functions as primary support for one or more business critical solution(s) and secondary support for multiple business critical or ancillary solutions. * Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow charts and diagrams, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. * Perform revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. * Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. * Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. * Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program. * Develop and perform software system testing and validation procedures. * Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. * Train and mentor less experienced developers in programming and program coding. * Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users. * Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs. * Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status. * Consult with internal customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. * Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. * Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. * Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems. * Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects. * Advise customer about or perform maintenance of software systems. * Participate in on-call and after hours support, including weekends and holidays. * Lead small projects as defined by scope (budget up to $200,000, resource effort up to 160 hours, affecting up to 200 users, including up to 2 business units) and complexity (clearly defined requirements, interfacing with few existing applications, development in an established technology, minor changes to existing business processes, no dependencies on other projects, coordinating with a limited number of internal/external teams). * Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, or management of information systems * Minimum of 5 years of software development experience * Experience querying and developing Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases is required * Experience integrating applications using ETL technologies such as Informatica, Dell Boomi, Microsoft SSIS/DTS, etc. is required * Experience integrating applications using APIs and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Microsoft .NET, Python, etc. is required * Experience creating dashboards and performing analysis using Microsoft PowerBI is a plus * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language * Experience and demonstrated success working in a cross-functional environment * Strong customer focus mindset * Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills * Highly self-motivated and directed * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment * Experience working individually and in a team-oriented, collaborative environments /Southwestern Energy Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
