Job Description

Director, AS Segment Accounting

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Position is responsible for the Airline Solutions Segment accounting functions including monthly close processes, balance sheet, revenue recognition, and integration activities for newly acquired businesses. Responsible for end to end billing activities including invoicing, project system integration and revenue recognition in a complex software/SaaS environment. SOX Process ownership and implementing improvements in existing control environment. Team is involved in transformational process and system changes including implementation of the RAR module of SAP, position is responsible for leading change and change management.

Responsible for coordinating with Finance and the business to ensure new contracts and activities are accounted for properly and proper controls established. Responsible for researching and documenting AS complex accounting issues in memos and working with audit team in various instances. Direct and manage team responsible for accounting, billing, revenue recognition and implementation of new ERP system by Sabre for AS.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years; prior team management and leadership experience required;

  • CPA required with public accounting experience;

  • Strong technical knowledge of revenue recognition accounting principles;

  • Strong research and documentation skills;

  • Knowledge of control environments;

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical and communication skills;

  • Strong project management, change management and team management skills;

  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel;

  • Industry experience in public environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of software technology business processes and the SaaS industry desired.

  • Previous experience in lead to cash process preferred.

  • Experience with SAP Billing and Project System and integrating accounting functions also desired.
