Description

This Project Assistant role for a company in the Construction/Contractor industry, available through OfficeTeam, will provide a fulfilling career for a talented and ambitious self-starter. This Project Assistant role is based in Columbus, Ohio and is short-term temporary opportunity.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing support to Project Managers by organizing team meetings and communication per project specifications in order to maintain project deliverable schedules

  • Making travel arrangements and finding accommodations for training seminars, conferences and additional project-related events

  • Managing the distribution of project information to key partners

  • Analyzing information, preparing reports, proofreading and editing documents, and developing presentations

  • Supporting project teams by providing administrative, technical and clerical support

  • Conducting research online for information

  • Taking meeting minutes and keeping records of tasks and progress

  • Seeking further information to fill in gaps of incomplete documents

Requirements

  • Knowledge of database and file management

  • Demonstrated abilities with the Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

  • All applicants must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, though a BA/BS degree in business, communications, or related field is preferred

  • 1 year of business/office experience at minimum

  • Microsoft Project, JIRA, Mavenlink, and NetSuite experience is a plus

  • Construction Documents experience required

  • Solid understanding of Purchase Orders

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Excellent attention to detail
