ACS Vulnerability Analyst, Senior in San Antonio, Texas
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Vulnerability Analyst to join our team. As a Vulnerability Analyst, you will conduct vulnerability assessments and analyze technical security weaknesses using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) and associated information management tool sets. You will collaborate with stake holders to determine Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for identified vulnerabilities, as well as documenting status and collecting weekly metrics on remediation efforts.
You will operate and maintain the ACAS and HBSS solutions to ensure network and application scanning and configuration assessments are conducted while ensuring incidents are resolved in accordance with the incident response table and client SOPs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Install, monitor, test, troubleshoot, and administer the ACAS/Nessus Vulnerability Scanner applications
Analyze and assist in the application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs)
Ensure scheduled scans are covering 100% of intended assets and are being run successfully
Ensure Security Center (SC) is being updated regularly; address unsuccessful updates of the SC and identify the root cause of the unsuccessful update
Configure, optimize, and test vulnerability scans against new and existing Operating Systems and platforms
Perform Nessus vulnerability scans, Nessus agent scans, and Passive vulnerability scans
Perform scan policy analysis & configuration to determine the impact of vulnerability scanning against target devices
Troubleshoot credential failure issues by performing configuration analysis against the target device
Conduct vulnerability analysis, research, and collaborate with System Administrators to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and/or author Plans of Actions and Milestones (PO&AM) as needed
Configure, operate, and maintain HBSS and its components (ePolicy Orchestrator, McAfee Agent, Data Loss Prevention, Host Intrusion Prevention System, Policy Auditor, Asset Baseline Monitor, and Virus Scan Enterprise) on Windows and Linux, creating exceptions to allow essential processes to continue uninterrupted
Provide guidance on vulnerability and malware remediation
Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT-2 certification requirements such as Security+ or equivalent
3+ years knowledge and experience with ACAS SC, Nessus administration
Possess understanding and experience with common cybersecurity toolsets and processes to include STIGS, ACAS, IAVA Management and Implementation, and OPORD/FRAGO support
Experience with developing and presenting vulnerability information for technical and non-technical audiences
Must possess well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience in analysis simulation environment, configuring/troubleshooting software/hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades in a dynamic information systems hosting environment.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Four (4) years of related experience may be substituted for a degree.
Years of Experience:
5-7 years of experience in the Cyber security or information assurance field w/ Bachelor's Degree
9-11 years of experience in the Cyber security or information assurance field w/ High School Diploma
