Description of Job Duties

  1. Researches, identifies, and analyzes grant-making organizations.
  2. Coordinates resources and personnel in order to develop highly competitive research proposals and/or contracts for the College of Business (COB).
  3. Works with COB faculty and staff to identify external support sources for scholarly activities and develop strategies and ideas.
  4. Conducts grantsmanship editing and review; reviews budgets (as they pertain to project scope) and makes suggestions; tracks proposals through submission, review, and award process.
  5. Develops and maintains relationships with faculty, staff, and outside funding agencies.
  6. Assists with the formation of transdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and/or otherwise collaborative research teams.
  7. Assists faculty and staff in preparing and submitting progress reports required by grant-making organizations.
  8. Creates Institutional/College templates for use by investigators.
  9. Conducts training and workshops for COB faculty, staff and other relevant groups.
  10. Gathers data, monitors and prepares reports related to college-level sponsored project productivity.
  11. Maintains college Research Support website.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
