The Associate Business Systems Analyst is responsible for creating and refining systems requirements to address business opportunities and formulating documentation to support the development and implementation of the technical solution. The Associate Business Systems Analyst supports the development and implementation of technical solutions and applications. In addition, the Associate Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between business users and technology programmers to understand user needs and may serve in a project manager capacity for smaller work efforts.
Performs analysis, and evaluates downstream business, systems, process, and/or organizational impacts. Serves as a subject matter expert on clinical systems assigned
Defect identification and resolution. Provides technical support, monitors data integrity within supported systems and monitors system process workflows and proper system user adoption
Engages business partners and vendors to define system requirements in terms of system capabilities
Manage expectations with key stakeholders on the implications of existing IT systems that can be applied to a problem. Identifies risks and issues, and seeks approval on complex matters
Provides subject matter expert and operational support to physicians and clinical staff
Coordinate current and future plans/activities across IT and business stakeholders including coordination and technical assistance to facilitate specific development projects involving the computing environment, the coordination of software upgrades and the installation and operability of new products
Completes unit and system testing for system upgrades, new functionality and software releases
Documents and implements changes to assigned clinical systems. Ensures that all changes go through the change management policy
Resolves technical application issues and acts proactively to address potential issues from becoming problems that impact the system
Collaborates with technical team on network and security strategy for clinical systems
Provides after hours support on a scheduled rotation as needed
Performs all other related duties as assigned
The pace is fast and you’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities. You may be required to work in multiple locations, so scheduling flexibility is essential. You must also be able to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired (2 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
3+ years of experience in a technical support environment.
3+ years of application support experience
Knowledge of SQL
Strong analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and solutions.
Ability to effectively work with both internal and external clients
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired.
Three or more years’ experience of major systems implementation experience.
Three or more years of experience in a Clinical Healthcare IT environment.
Previous Experience utilizing data query or reporting tools. (SQL, MS Access, and MS Excel and/or equivalent data capture tools.)
Knowledge of Health Care Industry and related business functions.
