Job Summary

This entry-level position is responsible for implementing and monitoring of corrosion control programs and integrity projects on assets including, but not limited to pipelines, wells, production facilities and processing plants. Recommends corrosion controls, such as cathodic protection, coatings, chemicals, etc. Maintains records related to corrosion mitigation and monitoring activities, failure tracking, chemical usage, cost tracking and project status. Serves as on-site coordinator for management of corrosion control and integrity management projects for new construction and maintenance of existing assets. Responsible for collecting data to ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State pipeline safety regulations related to corrosion control and integrity management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in the internal and external corrosion prevention efforts and programs
  • Assists in Federal and State audit efforts and programs
  • Provides appropriate technical guidance and remedial action recommendations for all corrosioin issues/requests
  • Insures that deficiencies are effectively corrected within a timely manner
  • Manage all required corrosion related documentation
  • Assists corrosion prevention projects as assigned
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of corrosion prevention projects budgets and report status to management as required
  • Attends NACE Certification classes for NACE CP Technician or Corrosion Technologist and Internal Corrosion Technologist
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

  • Knowledge of the various Federal and State pipeline regulations including corrosion control and industry standards
  • Knowledge and practical working experience in corrosion prevention method


Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Minimum: NACE CP1 or Corrosion Technician certification.

Preferred: NACE Internal Corrosion Technologist certification.


Minimum: 2 - 5+ years experience in corrosion prevention or equivalent; or six months experience in corrosion prevention with an associates degree in a technical related discipline

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to possess a valid driver's license.
