Baylor Scott & White Health Director HR Strategic Services in Rowlett, Texas

As a strategic partner, the Director of HR Strategic Services provides human resources, talent and organization development expertise and support to facility, functional, and executive leadership and reports to the Vice President, Strategic and Business Services. The Director HR Strategic Services partners with executives and business leaders to develop and align HR strategy to address business needs, and to meet business strategic objectives. The Director assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicates needs proactively within the HR department, effectively partners to develop integrated solutions and people strategies to compliment the goals of the business.

Experience: Successful candidate must have 10+ years progressive experience in human resources and/or organization development. In addition to strong business acumen, director will have sound technical background in traditional human resources competencies. Successful candidate will have proven ability and competence to function in a highly visible role with heavy cross-functional interaction across the human resources platform, as well as the company's general business operations.

With responsibility overseeing the human resources function for an employee population of 5,000, this role has a large scope and plays a key role as the onsite HR leader for our flag ship hospital. The staff supporting HR operations is comprised of 5 HR Business Partners, 2 HR Assistants, and 1 HR Coordinator.

    Key Job Duties * Identify, establish and cultivate relationships with business and clinical partners, understanding their business and identifying human capital needs in order to effectively ensure HR products and services meet organization needs. Maintain the role and the function as a true business partner that will continue to earn/gain the confidence of the organization and excel at interactions with the senior leadership team, and client groups supported. * Lead all human resources strategic and business initiatives in assigned facility or functional area of responsibility including but not limited to change management, interpretation of laws and policies, risk management, conflict management and employee relations, staffing and retention, total rewards, and various metrics, analytics and technological expertise designed to assist in goal achievement. * Develop and maintains partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to leaders and employees, accelerating organization change and effectiveness. * Translate the strategic and tactical business plans of client groups into HR strategic and operational plans. * Assist in the planning and development of the appropriate organizational alignment and structures, architecture and support systems to enhance the company's evolving business needs and objectives. * In partnership with business leaders, lead the implementation of effective performance planning, talent planning, performance management and reward programs that link with a progressive, well-tailored succession and organizational planning process. * Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning of current, proposed and new programs/strategies as they impact the attraction, motivation, engagement and retention of the organization's human capital. * Facilitate change management initiatives to drive business results including process improvement, organizational design, realignment, and business growth. * Drive merger/acquisition HR activity through due diligence and operations planning. * Facilitate effective executive recruitment, compensation, coaching and development strategies to cultivate talent. * Utilize measurement strategies to ensure that HR processes and solutions are efficient and effectively meet organization needs. * Analyze trends and metrics to develop and implement solutions, programs, processes and or policies to address organization needs and effectiveness. * Leads HR facility team to provide excellence in customer service; keeps customers and client organizations informed and involved about HR solutions and issues. * Leads employee relations efforts through proactive counsel and guidance as well as through the education and competency development of team and management. * Coach and counsel executives in client organization on employee relations issues including compensation, benefits, staffing and diversity strategies and policies to help line management build and maintain a competent and motivated workforce. * Directs the activities of employee relations staff in thorough, fair, and comprehensive investigations. #LI-EX2Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 10 plus years related experience within human resources

  • Master's degree strongly preferred

  • National Human Resources Certification strongly preferred
