The Federal segment of the Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill an individual contributor role on the North America Federal Inside Sales team. Among other responsibilities, the Inside Product Specialist will be responsible for fostering lasting relationships, building rapport, finding and generating new business, and developing, configuring and quoting enterprise solutions for customers from assigned accounts in the United States Federal segment. The Inside Product Specialist will also be responsible for engaging with account team members, helping drive account strategy, and maintaining and building sales pipeline for his or her assigned accounts.
The Inside Product Specialist provides product or BU specific expertise, primarily but not limited to Dell’s server, networking and storage portfolio. He or she acts as a technical resource to support the sales organization to meet and/or exceed their objectives. Identifies customer needs/ requirements, and recommends the appropriate products and solutions. Provides pre-sales technical support during the sales process. Remains up-to-date on new product, technology, and services offerings. Stays current on industry and vertical solutions as well. Assists in the on-going technical education and development of the broader team. Promotes and positions key strategic product and service offerings

Carries a revenue quota for all ISG lines of business based on assigned accounts
Held accountable for meeting key performance indicators
Participates in management of forecast & pipeline for assigned accounts.
Responsible for selling a defined set of products and services.
Provides technical advice to the inside sales teams during the sales process.
Accountable for delivering technical solutions, products, and /or services that address customer needs of varying complexity (via telephone, chat, web, or e-mail); or working with subject matter expert to address a solution of even higher complexity.
Engages with key customer contacts to negotiate deals and to assist in resolving complex issues
Proactively manages high profile accounts via product road map discussions, quarterly calls & account reviews focused on business priorities, strategies & initiatives
Strategically leverages inside and outside resources to provide optimal coverage and competitive advantage to drive incremental opportunities and acquire new customers
Occasionally attends executive briefing centers briefings with visiting customers
Remains up-to-date on new product, technology, and services offerings. Stays current on industry and vertical solutions as well.
Assists in the on-going technical education and development of the broader team. Promotes and positions key strategic product and service offerings.
6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Excellent communication and sales skills, ability to build rapport and trust
Demonstrated success in a quota-carrying role
Strong analytical and technical ability
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment and balance demands from multiple stakeholders.
Effectively balances short term and long term priorities.
Possesses strong financial/business acumen
Candidate must be a United States citizen to work in the Federal segment.
