Raytheon System Administrator in Richardson, Texas

Raytheon is seeking an IT System Administrator with a Microsoft Windows Administration background to join our team in developing and maintaining IT systems in an agile program environment. The System Administrator is responsible for implementing, troubleshooting and maintaining solutions to optimize the program infrastructure operations. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a program’s existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Designs, implements, codes, tests, documents, and maintains systems integration solutions to total system or subsystems. Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. This position requires US Citizenship. Required Skills: Must be a US Citizen with a current TS-SCI clearance with CI poly. Bachelor Degree with 4 years of experience directly related to Windows System Administration of Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7/10 with increasing responsibilities administering client/server applications. Must have experience with Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy. Experience administering Virtualization (VMware) Experience in Information and Cyber Security; digital forensics, computer security and system monitoring and logging Windows Patch Management, OS Upgrades, computer security and system monitoring and logging Scripting Skills: Puppet, Python, SQL CompTIA Security + Certification or willingness to acquire certification within 3 months of start date Technical writing skills Must be able to support occasional after hour maintenance Desired Skills: Experience with cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, C2S, Microsoft Azure, etc. Experience with automation frameworks (Chef, Puppet, etc.) Ensure successful planning, deployment, installation, and upgrades of products within required timelines and resource allocations over multiple geographic sites Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols Basic Linux knowledge with ability to grow skills Basic Network knowledge Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors Required Education: BS Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical related field, OR 12 years of experience in lieu of degree. 118818
