Job Description

The Performance Engineering & Analytics team provides performance and capacity engineering advice and analysis for development teams across the enterprise.

We are looking for someone who shall:

-Promote strong practice and techniques to these teams, such as helping them to articulate performance objectives, document performance and capacity risks, develop effective performance non-functional requirements, and provide detailed performance test objectives for these projects.

-Apply statistical and data visualization tools to time-series data in order to provide insights, clarity, and trend indications for relevant attributes of performance and scalability for applications and services studied.

-Build, improve, and exploit performance models to generate forecasts of future expected performance, load, and scalability.

-Effectively present such analysis to the executive teams within IT or the Business partner groups.

You will handle the core job responsibilities of:

-Data analysis;

-Test strategy development;

-Scalability assessments;

-Non-Functional Requirement (NFR) elicitation and documentation;

-Performance and capacity assessments of systems and architectures;

-Model development, maintenance, and sensitivity analysis;

-Forecasting of future performance, load, and scalability for select systems and platforms;

-Other duties and assignments as stipulated by the Sr. Director, Performance Analytics or Capacity Planning.

You will be responsible for clearly defining engineering objectives, establishing a framework and capability to model attributes within an engineering discipline, inclusive of performance and scale, and may include reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS) aspects. Modeled aspects may include scenarios, workloads, budgets and metrics. You will define performance and scalability principles, practices, and patterns to enable development teams to engineer for performance and system quality.

Required Qualifications

-8 years of work related experience and the below:

-Ability to promote the continuous advancement of Performance Engineering practice.

-Experience and expertise with descriptive and inferential statistics, and data analytics theory, practice, and tools.

-Ability to design and implement testing processes and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) methodologies needed to deliver scalable, performing, resilient, and reliable systems.

-Strong communication skills using data analysis, data visualization.

-Ability to deliver executive communications for technical and detailed topics.

-Ability to work independently to complete assignments.

-Ability to analyze test results from a technical standpoint and isolate performance issues.

-Ability to fix complex technical situations and help technical teams resolve issues.

-Skill in planning, mitigating risk, and leading teams through collaboration.

-Experience with performance engineering, practice, or testing.

-Experience executing automated and manual testing strategies.

-Experience developing script and scenario designs.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience with process management and engineering.

-Health care industry experience.

-Knowledge of the IBM iSeries, AIX, Red Hat Enterprise, Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

-Experience with iTKO LISA and HP LoadRunner, HP SiteScope, HP diagnostics, HP Performance Center or like products.

-Experience working in a distributed enterprise systems environment.

-Experience working with tools integrated into Microsoft SharePoint.

-Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, OneNote, Clarity, and Serena Business Manager (formerly Team Track).

-Knowledge of Software Development Process (SDLC) methodology and project management skills.

-Experience developing test automation scripts.

-Familiarity with SQL. Experience with application performance engineering for dependencies on database performance.

Education

STEM Bachelor's degree or will accept two years of experience for each year of college not attained in addition to required years of experience. Graduate degree preferred.
