ON Semiconductor Member of the Technical Staff in Richardson, Texas
The Advanced Product Development group within ON Semiconductor’s Mobile, Computing, and Cloud division is looking for a highly motivated, accomplished, and experienced IC designer to join our team as a Member of Technical Staff in our Richardson, TX office. The candidate who fills this position will have the opportunity to work on leading power management products and IP that target server, notebook and desktop, and smartphone power solutions. The Advanced Product Development group is a central organization within the division that works with the division’s various product lines to execute on particularly challenging products and IP developments.
Must have strong analog/mixed-signal circuit design skills
Must be able to build a top-down behavioral model of the system to be developed
Must have a strong verification methodology covering verification planning and execution
Ability to use Cadence, Synopsis, or Mentor design tools for IC design is a must (Cadence is preferred)
Ability to develop behavioral models using verilogams and veriloga is a plus
Ability to program in Python is a plus
Ability to use MATLAB, Scilab, or Mathcad is a plus
Education and Experience
10 years of work experience doing integrated circuit design
Must have experience being the chip lead on a project
Experience designing power management integrated circuits is a plus
Experience designing data converters is a plus
System knowledge of notebook and server power architectures is a plus
Must have a MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
