Senior– Privacy Engineer
This position is part of the Marketing,Advertising, and Content (MAC) data-sharing platform that resides within theChief Data Office of AT&T advertising and analytics. The MACcloud-based platform combines AT&T's unique consumer data and growingcontent data assets and enables data sharing across business units in supportof marketing, advertising, and content intelligence related use cases.
Overall Purpose : Responsible for thedevelopment, implementation and oversight of security, privacy and related riskmanagement policies and programs and works with key stakeholders to enable thepower of data through scalable, programmatic platforms and security-enhancingtechnologies.
Key Roles andResponsibilities : Includes researchingbest-in class privacy and security controls as well as developing,recommending, documenting, and enabling the implementation of policies, datause cases, procedures, and controls to enhance customer trust and unleash thepower of data. Acts as key interface between the technology security staff andother cross-functional stakeholders such as Legal, Privacy, Brand and ExternalAffairs across the AT&T family companies. Facilitates automated user/systemaccountability and adherence with security, privacy and related policies, contractualobligations, and legal requirements. Provides privacy and security training andawareness. Develops automated practices including metrics and tools to performprivacy-by-design and security oversights reviews and/or control structures.Collects and analyzes data, advances security and privacy programs andinitiatives (including risk management, third party, consent management, datatagging, business continuity, retention/disposal, access, incident response)and provides strategic recommendations for risk management, continuousimprovement and program/platform maturity. Resolves complex issues, documentsend-to-end privacy and security program components, and supports technologyaudits. Knowledgeable regarding cloud environments and familiar with NIST and ISOsecurity frameworks as well as knowledgeable of the security and privacyregulations that impact company programs. Prepares assessments and reports withtechnical writing skills and provides readouts on comprehensive privacy andsecurity KPIs.
Bachelorsdegree in the field of Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematicspreferred. Industry security (e.g., CISSP), privacy (e.g., CIPP/US) or audit(e.g., CISA) certifications are a plus. Juris Doctor and Masters of BusinessAdministration are a plus.
At least 3 to 5 years ofexperience of relevant experience.
Strong presence withextensive experience communicating with leadership and cross-functional teams.Ability to think outside the box and inspire cross-functional teams to enableinnovative, data-powered solutions. Ability to manage multiple work initiativesand exercise good judgment as well as balance risks in ambiguous and complexsituations.
