Baylor Scott & White Health Operating Room Specialist in Plano, Texas

The OR Specialist coordinates and provides direction to the personnel in daily activities required to achieve departmental objectives. The OR Specialist develops monitors, reviews, and changes when necessary the policies and procedures required to assure safe, economical and efficient quality care. The OR Specialist adheres to departmental guidelines related to employees' performance and operating standards. The OR Specialist assists with development and administers perioperative services annual budget. The OR Specialist develops and implements continuous quality improvement, quality management and safety systems for patient care and employees. The OR Specialist submits monthly statistical data as assigned. The OR Specialist maintains staffing patterns to meet the patients need for continuity of care and acuity level. Establishes and maintains good rapport and proper business relationships with internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate for The OR Specialist must be able to work in a team environment and have strong interpersonal and problem solving skills with commitment to professionalism and providing quality care to members.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Nurse (RN)
