Responsible to ensure consistent practices are applied for engaging, managing, and coaching talent within the organization, as well as ensure that human resource policy and procedure throughout the organization fit the needs, goals, and aims of the organization and its leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in all phases of the employment process including onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and exit interviewing
Conduct internal investigations ensuring outcomes that adhere to HR and labor law compliance.
Implements and ensures effectiveness of projects, processes and policy changes at the dealership or corporate-level on behalf of the Organizational Development, Recruiting and Human Resources departments.
Participates in developing department goals, processes, and objectives.
Develops strategies and achieves goals to champion member engagement.
Partner with managers on member engagement in both traditional and innovative ways, including seeking and acting on member feedback to identify the most effective methods of engagement and retention.
Stays up-to-date on industry trends by researching sharing content with HR and management team.
Serve as daily contact for managers, demonstrating the ability to understand a problem and guide managers to a resolution that is both thoughtful and effective.
Manage approval process of the performance review cycle.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Provide functional guidance for administrative support needs.
Maintains Human Resource Information System database and compiles accurate reports
Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches to affect continuous improvement in the services provided by the HR department.
Analysis of identified trends and metrics impacting the members and/or business of department and collaborate with managers to identify solutions to diminish or enhance the impact based on desired result.
Monitors unemployment claims and assists the department with appeals.
Maintains permanent personnel records.
Models behavior that is consistent with Core Values.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 5 years related experience in the HR field, or a Master’s degree in Human ResourcesManagement and 3 years of experience in the HR field, or 7 years’ experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience. 3 to 5 years of employee engagement experience a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: (Including Driver's License) Valid Driver’s License required,
SPHR/PHR Certification (Senior Professional in Human Resources/Professional in Human Resources) a plus
