Job Title: Associate Manager, Cyber Intelligence

Location: Plano, TX

Job Description:

The Associate Manager, Cyber Intelligence will assist in leading and directing a team of Cybersecurity professionals at the AS&T Division in Plano, Texas. This individual must have the management experience and technical skills required for the overall execution of the Cybersecurity Program for classified programs as directed by US Government directives and requirements.

The Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation. Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of a best-in-class IA program.

  • Leads, directs and reviews the work of direct reports who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Responsible for recruiting, selecting, coaching, counseling, and appraising staff performance.

  • Must consistently interpret, implement and maintain a highly effective IA program built on Government policies and supplemental guidance (e.g. NISPOM/DAAPM/JSIG RMF and other Customer/contract specific IA requirements). Overall responsibility includes controlling cost, assessing and minimizing risk and liability.

  • Plans and establishes goals and objectives for the IA team, with direct impact on the immediate or short-term operational results of the department.

  • Serve as the primary IA interface with both internal and external customers.

  • Assists the Cybersecurity Manager with proposal support activities.

  • Develop or make significant improvements to IA processes, standards and systems.

  • Execute an effective internal self-inspection program ensuring classified systems always remain in an inspection-ready state.

  • Execute an effective cybersecurity education and training program.

  • May conduct briefings to senior leaders regarding matters of importance to the operations of classified information systems and networks.

  • Objectively and professionally conduct investigations regarding sensitive issues and violations of written policies and may need to issue disciplinary guidance.

  • Assists Cybersecurity Manager with planning and maintaining annual budget for Security.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship.

  • Existing DoD Secret clearance with current 5-year update and eligibility for TS clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or a related field required.

  • Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience with various operating systems

  • Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.

  • (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Solaris, Cisco), Windows server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization, and other related peripherals.

  • Experience with technical configuration standards relating to information system security.

  • Experience with applying, searching, leveraging SCAP and STIGs.

  • Experience with configuration/certification and auditing/analysis of Windows, Linux, UNIX systems to include stand-alone IS, peer-to-peer networks, LANs/WANs and interconnections.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt workload to accommodate changing project priorities.

  • Well versed in risk management, mitigation, and customer service.

  • Perform other IS-related duties as assigned by leadership on “as required” basis.

  • IAM Level II DoD 8570.1M Certification (Security+ etc.).

  • Previous management experience where the candidate was responsible for recruiting, selecting, coaching, counseling, and appraising staff performance.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with certification/authorization requirements as outlined in the NISPOM/DAAPM, RMF, JSIG, NIST Series, and other USG IS/Security related policies.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.

  • Must obtain IAM Level III DoD 8570.1M Certification (CISSP etc.) within 6 months of hire.


  • Master’s degree in Information Security or a related field or equivalent experience desired.

  • Additional Certifications (CEH etc.).

  • Experience with SPLUNK, Nessus, eMASS, RMFKS, Xacta, and other software/systems.

  • Excellent people skills, with ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.

  • Must be able to work independently, irregular hours (as required), and partner with functional organizations.

  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills to communicate well with team members, customers and leadership.

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to act and complete tasks independently with minimal/reasonable amount of support from team members.
