Environmental Manager responsible for supporting environmental multi-media compliance programs for the Kinder Morgan Gulf Region Liquid Terminals (KM). The position has a lead focus on air compliance; however, also leads a team of water, waste and remediation professionals and technicians. The successful candidate must be capable of development and management and implementation of environmental air and other compliance programs, procedures, and policies associated with federal, state, and local regulations. The focus of the Environmental Manager include (but are not limited to) managing emissions and throughput tracking, assuring compliance with air permit conditions, air permitting, preparation of annual emissions inventories, managing MACT programs, auditing compliance with KM policies and procedures, record keeping, regulatory tracking, communicating with peers in industry, regulatory agencies, and trade organizations, and providing advice and support to business development group, operations and management staff throughout KM. The position reports to the Region EHS Manager. Performance evaluation is based on the candidate’s ability to manage environmental compliance, leverage contract environmental resources, manage KM EHS teammates, effective management of the environmental budget and successfully interact with Federal, State, and other regulatory agencies.
Experience, Specific Knowledge, Certification, Licenses: 3+ years’ experience manage multi-media team of environmental professionals and/or technicians. 7+ years in air consulting or industry, knowledge of Federal and Texas State air regulations. This position requires knowledge of regulations and methodologies concerning environmental compliance of terminal and/or industrial operations. A high level of technical knowledge is required, including the ability to be innovative and creative in utilizing technical resources. Requires the ability to travel 10% of the time and participate in on-call responsibilities. Required to exhibit the ability to function with limited supervision, ability to multitask and comply with short deadlines. Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
