HEALTHMARKETS Bookkeeper III, General Accounting in NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas

The Bookkeeper III position in General accounting is responsible for the functional aspects of the general accounting unit including treasury operations administrative duties and reconciliation tasks. Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned) Manage daily treasury needs for all companies in our organization Transmit and record wires, ACH and NACHA payments using online banking systems Identify and record incoming funds for all companies in our organization Prepare and distribute daily treasury reports for senior management Bank liaison Process daily credit card payments online Prepare and transmit bi-weekly TEFRA payments Review, document and distribute monthly bank account analysis fees Review and decision daily check and ACH exception items Process and record claim refunds Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Learn multiple desk functions within the department to perform backup duties on remote capture bank deposits, stopping and voiding checks, release of positive pay files, and manual checks Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Detailed oriented with solid organization skills Demonstrated problem solving skills Previous experience with utilized systems preferred Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel Formula writing and file management Excellent typing skills Proficient in 10-Key Qualilfications, Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred 3-4 years experience in a treasury bookkeeper role with exposure to online banking applications required or previous employment at a financial institution Physicial Requirements/Working Conditions Office environment with extensive sitting Extensive use of a computer for typing and navigating Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands Ability to work in stressful situations and on tight deadlines
