Eaton Corporation Lead Contract Manager in New York
Eaton's Aerospace Group, Fluid Electrical Distribution Sector is excited to announce an opening for a Lead Contract Manager to join our team. This is a remote role to be based from: Maryland, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia or Texas.
Supporting our Ducting, Sealing, Sensing and Power Conversion business unit with more than $325M in annual sales of ducting and sealing products in the aerospace industry, the Lead Contract Manager is responsible for leading contract management activity for both the commercial and defense aerospace markets, including commercial negotiation, review and negotiation of terms and conditions, contract lifecycle management, and change management. The role reports to the Business Unit Contracts Manager and serves as the lead for contracting with aerospace customers primarily for Eaton’s Beltsville, MD and East Providence, RI locations.

In this function you will:
Provide independent analysis of business and contract issues to support decision-making and flow the requirements of the contract to responsible departments as required.
Facilitate internal review of agreements and support the commercial execution of contracts. Responsible for maintaining positive customer interactions and proactively ensuring contractual compliance and performance.
Partner with other functions (Sales, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Customer Service) by providing analysis of business and contractual issues to risk mitigation planning and execution.
Participate in regular business reviews for new and momentum business, including pricing, Statement of Work (SOW) verification, and terms and conditions verification.
Lead the negotiation of agreements and management/mitigation of significant claims and disputes to provide maximum benefit to the Division.
Build and maintain customer relationships through effective communication, service standards and using Voice of the Customer to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Ensure compliance with all Aerospace, Division, business unit processes and procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Seven plus (7+) years of experience with contracts and commercial negotiations.
Three plus (3+) years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing company.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live in Maryland, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia or Texas to be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution.
Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or a Law degree from an accredited institution.
National Contract Management Association (NCMA) certification
Seven plus (7+) years of contracts experience with complex contracting and demonstrated knowledge of contract terms.
Five plus (5+) years of experience in an Aerospace or Defense environment.
Business governance skills.
Demonstrated negotiating skills.
Knowledge of the FAR and DFAR.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Customer focused (balanced with good business acumen).
Action Oriented and ability to work in time sensitive environment.
Leading effectively in diverse cultural situations with our global aerospace customers and Eaton team members.
