The GEODynamics Technology Lab (GTEC) Manager is responsible for leading the team that develops and tests solutions to solve technical problems in research, product development and manufacturing by establishing control processes, good engineering and documentation practices. Creates opportunities to enhance technical methodology or content through expansion of existing or development of new efforts; may extend technology into new application areas; contribute or lead in intellectual development activities. Provides innovative problem-solving approaches to enhance organizational capabilities; uses peer network to expand technical capabilities and identify new research opportunities. Leads experiments/tests in the laboratory/field to test, prove, or modify theoretical propositions on the basis of research findings and experiences of others researching in related technical areas; may include taking measurements and recording observations, collecting, compiling and processing data. Builds a cohesive and skilled engineering technician team to accomplish organizational goals; may provide ideas to improve efficiency at group level. Education/Qualifications/Training Bachelor s Degree in an Engineering of Science discipline 5 8 years of experience working within a manufacturing production, QA, or R&D department 5+ years leading a technical team or group. Focused in pressure, temperature, or explosives testing Ability to lead a team through the entire process of testing a new product, refining, test reporting, and hand off to manufacturing Familiarity with API RP19B and API RP67 Strong computer skills (MS Office suite required; Excel power user a major plus)
