Job Description:

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Digital Technology (DT) Project Manager to join our team. The DT Project Manager will lead multiple DT projects, with only general direction from senior business leaders, and work with multiple organizations within DT and other Functional organizations within RIS. Projects may include infrastructure, strategy, acquisitions, and may work with mission area functions to support programs or pursuits. The position reports to the Manager of the Project Management Office.

The DT Project Manager will be responsible for delivering all project outcomes in accordance with agreed-upon sponsor objectives, user needs, technical constraints, scope, cost, schedule, and quality. The DT Project Manager leads and/or directs one or more project teams engaged in the design and implementation of DT projects that span across functional organizations and business locations. The DT Project Manager prepares business cases, schedules needed reviews, develops project execution plans, identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team, and manages the execution of the plans. They keep current on advances in the field of IT/DT, coordinates and maintains internal and external communication with stakeholders, and provides technical and analytical guidance to project teams. The successful candidate must be familiar with IT network infrastructure (cabling, circuits, network equipment, phones, etc.) and understand the relationship between DT and end users.

Project Management activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working in an Agile environment

  • Defining Requirements

  • Preparing and managing project scope, budgets, costs, and schedules

  • Preparing and monitoring project plans

  • Managing project resources

  • Assessing and managing project risks and opportunities

  • Conducting management reviews

  • Leading briefings and technical meetings

  • Communicating with the team members, sponsors, stakeholders, and end users

  • Maintaining project documentation

  • Conducting data analysis

Required Skills:

  • Understands and applies Raytheon policies applicable to the implementation and governance of information technology, facilities, and manufacturing technology

  • Experience using formal Project Management methodologies including waterfall and agile

  • Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and Jira

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects with complex dependencies, aggressive schedules, and firm cost constraints

  • Proven ability to operate within a matrixed environment

  • Skilled in the identification and coordination of stakeholders with the ability to reconcile competing interests among stakeholders

  • Superb written and oral communication skills

  • Applied knowledge of common project management skills and discipline such as earned value, risk management, quality management, etc.

  • Creative and critical thinking skills

  • Advanced experience with Excel and data analysis

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or comparable Project Management certification

  • 8 years plus Experience

  • Occasional travel may be required to support project coordination with on-site stakeholders at various RIS locations in the continental U.S

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with DoD and Classified environments

  • Experience working with out-sourced partners

  • Safe/Agile Certification

  • PMP

Required Education (including Major):

  • BA/BS/BM, MS/MA/MBA preferred and 8 years experience or 16 years in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
