Service First Mortgage is currently hiring for a Junior Loan Processor.

The Junior Loan Processor will prepare the loan files, review loan applications, and collect additional information as appropriate. Duties include:

  • Performing new loan set up on residential mortgage loans.

  • Ensuring quality is consistent with all company policies and procedures as well as meeting all regulatory requirements

  • Managing the timeline to ensure timely receipts of all required documents, and following up with the appropriate party

  • Service Order requests including but not limited to: appraisals, titles, tax returns, social security verifications, employment verification, deposit verification, flood certificates etc.

  • Obtaining borrower verifications

  • Working closely with internal and external contacts to highlight deficiencies

  • May be asked to carry small pipeline with Ops Management Approval

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of mortgage experience or related position.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the lending process, federal and state law, and various loan products and guidelines.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to adhere to established processes and checklists.

  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage one’s time under pressure in a high volume environment
