iRetired Air Force Veteran and Lead Placement specialist for CALIBRE Systems, Inc. Michael Clark, is the Veteran RecruiteriforiFord Lincoln Veteran Careers Program. In his words:I partner with more than 600 Ford-Lincoln dealerships across the country who are registered for our Ford-Lincoln Veteran Careers Program. I am in search of drilling Reserve members and any Honorably discharged Veterans who have any type of maintenance MOS. If our Reservists/ Veterans are in search of a career, NOT A JOB, as aiservice technicianiforiFord-Lincoln, this is it. Any prior military, transitioning or currently active military candidate who may be able to benefit (qualifications: served honorably in the mechanical field, still serving in NG/ USAR OR completed at least one year of accredited automotive technology training) please direct contact me. I consider myself a ione-stop-shopi meaning I will assist the candidate with their application, resume, and will forward all necessary documents to the service manager for that particular dealership. I will also speak personally to the service manager to ensure a transition for an interview date/ time is conducted.Below is a summary of how this works. It is very simple:Step 1-Veteran applies with meStep 2-I determine the qualifications, prepare resume, and forward to service manager to schedule interviewStep 3-Veteran is offered a wage and start dateStep 4-Once hired, I will order a $4000 Ford Branded tool kit to be delivered to the dealership for that Veteran. I will also schedule the new hire for a 4-week course in Houston or Charlotte (about 90 days after hire) so the new hire will be trained and Ford-Lincoln Certified. I will also process the new hire's GI Bill benefits to get them rolling (this is optional for the new hire)Step 5-After about 90 days of working at the shop with a mentor, the new hire will attend the 4-week training (ALL expenses are paid and the new hire will receive a wage while attending the Academy)Step 6-New hire will return to the shop and complete an advanced brakes and climate control class within the first 12 months of hire and will become a Master Certified Chassis Technician for Ford-Lincoln (this would take any other technician 3-5 years to achieve)Step 7-The final 12 months of the 24- month apprenticeship, the Veteran will be trained in Diesel, Gasoline, or Transmission for Ford-Lincoln. ALL of this training is paid for by the dealership who hires them! What is the obligation to the Veteran? Once hired, they will owe 24 months to the dealership they were hired at (these dealerships are spending a lot of money to train these Veterans)iAll Veterans who are hired receive a wage AND, if they have Post 9 / 11 GI bill benefits will receive E5 basic housing allowance for the zip code of Dearborn, MI the first 24 months of employment.Bottom line:ithese Veterans are DIRECTLY hired, will receive a wage, AND have the option of collecting their GI Bill benefits for 2 years. If this interest you, apply to this job with the link provided and contact Michael directly.iWe are presenting a dynamic event for Ford-Lincoln and Veterans and we would like to invite you to attend.
