TheMaterial Coordinator IIprocesses part orders to Base Supply. Enforces supply discipline. Updates and monitors DIFM status and schedule parts through the repair cycle. Processes parts inquiries in IMDS and interpret data. Maintains bench stock bins, order bench and shop stock requirements. Plans and schedules maintenance of assigned equipment and parts. Coordinates repairable asset management actions with maintenance section personnel. Assists in resolving repairable item processing. Ensures all supply assets in the repair cycle are returned in a timely manner. Trains employees. Specific tasking for this position can be located in the applicable work center Individual Training Plan (ITP).
Review, update and monitor Supply Listings as required by the Performance of Work Statement (PWS) or other applicable technical manuals
Coordinate all duties of a Material Laborer
Organize Scrap materials in accordance with tech data
Handle orders involving items having readily identified procedures and methods. Refer to a catalog, manufacturer’s manual or technical documents to ensure the proper item is supplied
Provide supply and inventory information to maintenance personnel and management
Handle orders that involve making judgments such as choosing proper coding and priorities to satisfy the customer’s needs
Comply with all applicable contractual programs and regulations; i.e., tools, safety, security, HAZMAT, support equipment, housekeeping, and FOD prevention programs
Train personnel as required in coordination with Training Manager and Supervisor
Examine, verify and correct transactions to ensure completeness/accuracy of data and proper identification of accounts
Ensure expenditures will not exceed obligations in specified accounts
Review automated printouts against manually controlled journals to detect and correct errors
Review rejected transaction listing to determine reasons for rejections and prepare corrective actions material
Review production reports, inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material
Notify supervisor of material overdue and inform them of location, availability, and condition of material
Prepare periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock
Receive, store, and issue measuring devices, hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment
Report all unserviceable equipment to supervisor. Keep record of all issued and returned tools
Service tools and equipment with grease or other preservatives, using brush or alternative method
Compile production records to locate and/or track material throughout the ERRC utilizing manual or computerized systems
Schedule parts and tools for maintenance/inspection/repair utilizing manual or computerized methods to the appropriate shop(s)
Must ensure all applicable PPE is used when required
Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Thorough knowledge of the procedures specified by AF publications and manuals and AFI 21-101 for the control and scheduling of material/equipment is preferred.
Working knowledge of MIS, Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
The ability to read, write and interpret technical directives is required.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand American English.
Valid Texas vehicle operator’s license required. Possession of a valid driver’s license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privileges.
Must be able to maintain required Security Clearance.
Experience & Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) or more years’ experience in repairable asset management or Material Control is preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Night work may be required
Must be able to lift a minimum weight of 50 lbs.
Must stand for prolonged periods of time and have the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
