Academy’s Senior FP&A Analyst of Store Finance will be responsible for partnering with store business leaders on key store financial planning metrics across the Academy’s Store Operations organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent required
Ability to partner effectively with all lines of business internally and interface with clients and vendors
Strategic thinker who can also understand tactical delivery of analysis as needed
Track record of delivering high-impact results year-over-year
Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills
Ability to analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, statements and projections
Ability to formulate, initiate, administer policies and procedures for effective fiscal control
Can handle a high degree of complexity and translate to simplification
Hard-working and results-oriented
Analytical and process-improvement oriented
Thorough knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, credit policy practices, and industry data sources.
Ability to apply numerical and analytical skills to support ideas and portfolio performance
Ability and proven skill in developing and applying complex models to measure risk.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong relationships with, your team, peers and senior management.
Ability to work in an extremely fast paced team environment, deliver under considerable time pressure and ability to embrace constructive feedback.
Advanced Excel skills

At least five (5) years of experience, including planning, forecasting, analyzing reporting and business partnering
Previous FP&A or Corporate Finance experience required
Retail/e-commerce experience a plus
Responsible for the implementation and support of annual planning and forecasting processes for Store Finance; including forecasting daily sales by-store.
Act as finance support lead for Store Operations Leadership
Focus with Store Operations partners to drive accurate store payroll forecasting & long-term vision to ensure financial targets are met
Coordinate with Finance and Store Leadership in the development of annual profit plan targets for the business. Create and maintain the top-down financial quarterlies
Produce benchmarking and KPI data for store business leaders
Assess and deliver quarterly store profitability revenues
Interact regularly with senior management teams to help them define and enable business strategies. Respond the requests, asking the right questions to determine what data is really needed
Develop and leverage internal and external networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
As key member of most strategic initiatives, responsible for providing financial support related to feasibility analysis, ROI, business case development, and ensuring soundness of process used to derive financial results from projects
Assist Store Operations partners to produce accurate store payroll forecasting & long-term vision to ensure financial targets are met
Evaluate actual vs. planned/historical performance for both opex and capex
Support budgeting leader for store expense - includes the support of developing expense guidelines, assessing business submissions, creating budget bridges, building manager plan review decks, and finalizing annual budgets
Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly executive reporting including but not limited to monthly store operations performance reporting, corporate goals reporting and other ad-hoc reporting requests
Identify and drive process improvements
Take part in the evaluation of impairment reviews
