Verizon Senior Analyst, Logistics Services in Irving, Texas

What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Analyst of Logistics Services will be responsible for ensuring the proper inventory control measures are in place at the forward warehouses. You will be responsible for inbound prioritization, capacity, balancing the relationship between manufacturers and the forward warehouses, overseeing the resolution of all inbound inventory receiving discrepancies, and ensuring our forward warehouse 3PL partners established goals and metrics are met to Verizon’s satisfaction.

  • Lead through the resolution of inbound product discrepancies with the forward warehouses and OEMs (original equipment manufacturers).

  • Ensure timely posting of product within contractual guidelines.

  • Partner with the logistics vendor compliance team and Verizon Planning team to reduce receiving discrepancies by developing corrective action plans along with the OEMs.

  • Attend weekly calls with the forward warehouse partners reviewing weekly discrepancy performance.

  • Lead the management of all warehouse discrepancy reporting to ensure all reported discrepancies are properly reported and logged.

  • Perform daily system reconciliations and validate Verizon inventory systems accurately reflect on-hand and reserved inventory.

  • Reconcile weekly vendor shipments and represent the team, partnering with the Verizon Purchasing team and vendor to resolve variances.

  • Create Return to Vendor orders in SAP and coordinate the shipment of product back to the vendor.

  • Manage inventory movement transactions in SAP both virtually within sites and physically to internal and external locations.

  • Provide timely customer support through daily resolution of orders in fallout status due to inventory-related issues to minimize negative customer impact.

  • Assist with on-site audits of 3PL cycle count performance and processes.

  • Track/trend inventory-related KPI’s, promptly identify undesirable trends, and recommend solutions for areas of concern.

  • Create weekly inbound inventory receipt discrepancy reporting.

  • Ensure the forward warehouses are adhering to the Verizon quality control inspection SOX requirements for all OEM shipments.

  • Participate in forward warehouse audits and validate adherence to SOX compliance.

  • Complete all SOX compliance filings.

  • Lead/reinforce the development and implementation of process improvements across the team.

  • Support ongoing system IT infrastructure development and enhancements.

  • Promote the implementation of new and existing inventory controls for all forward warehouses.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Threeor more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in warehouse inventory management.

  • Experience in vendor and 3PL relations.

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Understanding of warehouse and distribution center inbound and forward operations.

  • Understanding of SOX quality control inspection requirements.

  • Ability to manage, implement, and support multiple projects under strict timelines.
