ADT Security Services, Inc. Manager of Data Managment Services in Irving, Texas

/ Position Summary: /

The Manager for Data Management Services will lead the IT server team and be responsible for contributing toward the design, architecture, engineering, automation, and service delivery for all solutions running on ADT’s Windows server platforms based upon Intel processor technologies. (Dell/EMC server and storage). This includes planning, specification, implementation, administration, and maintenance of services for all the above responsibilities in ADT data centers or partner environments for North America including Canada. This individual will drive ADT’s hybrid cloud concepts and provide thought leadership for self-service and seamless workload management between ADT’s internal cloud and vendor provided cloud data centers. The Manager for Data Management Services will lead and be responsible for strategy, budget, operational control, and personnel management for all technology teams or sub-teams providing these services for ADT.

Location: This role can be in Boca Raton Fl, Wichita KS, Irving Texas, Aurora Colorado, or Knoxville TN

/ Duties and Responsibilities: /

  • Design, architecture, engineering and service delivery for hardware, storage, operating systems, Intel, and storage infrastructure.

  • Design, architecture, engineering and service provisioning for Disaster Recovery, Backup/Restore, Patching, End User Printing, and Automation components.

  • Manage cross-functional team responsible for all service delivery activities from hardware configuration to end customer delivery.

  • Create / update policies, procedures, and documentation to adapt to new technologies and business requirements

  • Maintain relationship with key vendor representatives for existing and future systems and solutions.

  • Acts as liaison with vendors and business partners of various organizations to procure equipment and services related to EMC/Dell, VMware, and Cisco UCS, Microsoft, Printlogic and storage within the organization

  • Maintains detailed knowledge of company policies and standards related to design and operations of server and storage environments.

  • Plan and assist in the design and implementation of Systems infrastructures.

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining system and storage capacity related to Data Management solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for project and new product implementations.

  • Provide technical leadership and participation for determining the technical road map for Data Management environments.

  • Responsible of configuration guidelines to leverage monitoring and alerting tools in order to maintain and track key performance metrics for Data Management systems.

  • Performs ongoing fine tuning, upgrades and enhancements to optimize Data Management platform performance, availability, stability and security.

  • Responsible for performing frequent Usage Trending & Analysis and making recommendations and changes accordingly to maximize performance and minimize costs for Data Management environments.

  • Develop strategic roadmap and drive transformation to support a service delivery model for Data Management services.

  • Manage a team of Engineers and Administrators responsible for the day to day operations of ADT’s infrastructure.

• 8-10 years of experience in related technical areas

• 3-5 years of managing and leading a team of systems engineers and administrators

· Monitoring tools

· Scripting/Powershell

· Service automation, service delivery, and service reporting processes

· Networking

· Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols
