Job Description

Job Summary

The Manager of IT Issue and Vendor Management will be responsible for ensuring IT issues, events, and risks are managed appropriately. In addition, the individual will perform IT vendor management activities to ensure adherence to corporate standards. This position will partner with several organizations, including Enterprise Risk Management, Enterprise Third Party Vendor Management, Corporate Procurement, and Internal Audit, in addition to all functions within the IT organization. Key Issues Management activities include registering, driving, and reporting all IT issue, event, and risk activities. Critical Vendor Management activities involve onboarding new IT vendors, managing existing IT vendors, and offboarding IT vendors

Job Duties

  • Enhance and execute the Issues Management program for all IT areas, providing both hands-on results as well as program oversight. Analyze data and deliver trending reports to senior leadership, highlighting key risk areas as well as key controls to ensure effective risk monitoring and management. Partner with the Enterprise Risk Management organization to ensure compliance to the program.

  • Develop and execute a centralized Third Party Oversight program for all IT vendors and suppliers, providing detailed vendor management results as well as program oversight. This includes the onboarding, monitoring, and offboarding of IT vendors and suppliers. Proactively partner with IT vendor managers to ensure not only compliance to the Third-Party Oversight program, but also to ensure vendor compliance with Exeter standards and performance expectations. Partner with Enterprise Third Party Risk Management to ensure compliance with the corporate vendor management program.

  • Create and deliver thorough, concise and comprehensive presentations and reports that convey meaningful insight into key Issue and Vendor Management performance, findings, and trends.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key business partners and leadership. Support and executes the requests of other departments/internal business partners.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • College degree or equivalent work experience, preferably with a focus in Information Technology.

  • Six (6+) plus years of related experience, preferably with three (3) in IT Risk or Vendor Management.

  • One (1+) years of management experience.

  • Experience in the auto or finance industry preferred.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions) to deliver issue/risk mitigation results as well as critical vendor management activities

  • Experience and ease in communicating with senior leaders, managers and regulators.

  • Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities ​
