Lehigh Hanson is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Analyst.

Under the general guidance of the IT Manager, this position will provide technical and functional support of client software applications, networks, client systems and server systems used by the business.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Maintain an advanced level of expertise in key technologies required to support business requirements.

  • Develop training, process and procedural documentation and communiqués to improve the user, client and server environments.

  • Mentor team members in advanced troubleshooting and support skills

  • Provides technical and functional guidance and support to team members for assigned technologies

  • Manage vendors and consultants to address support activities to ensure the needs of the company are being met.

  • Complete regional site visits to assess and correct IT infrastructure deficiencies and assist with local support requirements.

  • Maintain expert support and maintenance skills of core IT infrastructure systems.

  • Maintain a working lab environment to test, train, demo and troubleshoot hardware/software

  • Contribute to a shared library of system documentation and practices.

  • Maintain a local inventory of PCs and General IT hardware required to support the business.

  • Provide onsite and remote end user support for Network, PC and Print related issues as escalated by service desk through centralized ticketing system

  • Develop, seek out and communicate “best practices” in the use of core client technology and software

  • Recommend, implement and manage specific IT programs to lower overall IT or business costs

  • Develop documentation and training programs to assist in meeting business needs

  • Assist business units with local logistics improvement initiatives

  • Occasional overnight/international travel

Who we are looking for:

  • University degree or equivalent in related discipline.

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT work experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and supporting a Cisco based LAN environment, CCNA/CCNP would be an asset

  • Experience using Net Flow, Solar Winds and Net Brain would be an asset

  • Knowledge and experience within the construction materials industry would be an asset

  • Technical production system deployment or Microsoft certification would be an asset

  • Knowledge and experience working with telephony systems (PBX / VoIP) would be an asset

  • Familiar with terminal server / Thin Client concepts and ESX Host / virtual Windows server environments

  • Proficient at LAN, WAN and PC support and troubleshooting

  • Detailed understanding of GPOs and their application to maintain a standardized Windows client environment

  • Proven experience in technical analysis, training and documentation

  • Proficient use of MS Office products including Word, Excel, Project and Visio
