GM Financial Fleet Credit Analyst I - CVL in Irving, Texas

​The Fleet Credit Analyst I - CVL completes financial analysis and prepares credit proposals for new and existing commercial customers. The analyst provides appropriate recommendations and supporting documentations to mitigate risk. Duties will include daily interaction with dealership personnel, commercial borrowers and CVL Sales Team to determine financing needs and to obtain necessary financial information.

JOB DUTIES

  • Accurately analyze financial statements of commercial borrowers, assign accurate risk ratings and provide appropriate recommendations to mitigate risk

  • Interface with dealership personnel, customers and CVL Sales Team to obtain data to complete financial analysis and ensure customer expectations are managed while meeting outlined service level agreements for credit decisioning

  • Prepare accurate and concise credit proposals and provide appropriate recommendations to mitigate risk

  • Manage Line of Credit annual renewals

  • Assist in monitoring Lines of Credit portfolio performance communicating issues and opportunities to CVL Management and Sales Team as appropriate

  • Communicate with CVL Commercial Credit Analysts to identify opportunities for potential Line of Credit clients

  • Accurately prepare municipal financing quotes and proposals and act as liason between 3rd party municipal financing company and dealer

  • Actively participate in department meetings and one on one meetings with management

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of credit underwriting

  • Knowledge of dealership, fleet/commercial and indirect auto finance industry operations

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of reporting and analytics

  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com

  • Understanding of commercial lending with emphasis in captive automotive dealership financing

  • Understanding of dealer operations

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of accounting, financial statement analysis, cash flow and dealer workout

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ​Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

Experience

  • 2-4 Years Commercial credit underwriting experience; Experience in automotive lending environment preferred
