The Accounts Payable Payment Specialist is responsible for processing all payment batches, paying vendors, maximizing discount opportunities, researching all ACH and Positive Pay issues, participates in vendor conversions to electronic payments and initiates utility auto-pay setups.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Process all payment batches per schedule set by management.

-Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities

-Ensure payments are made by the due dates

-Accuracy of payment method

-Research all ACH and Positive Pay issues

-Participate in vendor conversions to electronic payments

-Initiate utility auto-pay setups

-Responds to all accounts payable emails

Physical Requirements:

-Ability to occasionally carry, relocate, and/or lift up to 50 pound cartons and containers

-Ability to work a regular schedule in an open office environment

-Ability to sit for up to three hours at a time


-At least 2 years A/P experience

-Experience with Oracle or similar ERP software

-Well-developed ability to use computer and software applications, and beginner/intermediate Excel knowledge

-Ability to read, write, and communicate in English professionally in a business environment

-Detail oriented and to effeiciently analyze data

-Effecicient and goal-oriented with a strong ability to multitask and complete projects and assignments on time

-Adhere to strict deadlines

-Work collaboratively in a team environment with a sense of urgency

-Ability to work overtime when required by management
