Kelly Services SOW Category Specialist - Spring, TX in Houston, Texas

KellyOCG (Outsourcing and Consulting Group, a division of Kelly Services) is currently seeking a category management professional with a strong background in services procurement for their SOW Management and Sourcing practice. This position will develop category strategies to optimize external talent and services delivery models including project based, agile, outcome based and outsourcing. Strategies will include cost optimization, value improvement, supplier optimization, program adoption and risk mitigation. This position will partner with client and internal Kelly OCG business partners to deploy and advance Statement of Work Management programs, leveraging industry best practices that align with client goals and objectives. This role is expected to collaborate with and influence key internal and external stakeholders, build relationships with decision makers. This position will be based in Spring, TX.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Data mining and analysis, labor categorization and SOW validation assessments

  • Analyzing data or insights to develop and execute SOW best practice category strategies

  • Working collaboratively with client and supplier stakeholders to identify and deploy continuous cost and performance improvement strategies including cost savings and supplier optimization strategies.

  • Engaging with client sponsors and business stakeholders to present SOW trends and provide recommendations on sourcing and category management strategies that align to client business goals and objectives

  • Utilizing problem solving skills and forward-thinking to enhance the program and drive innovation

  • Developing supplier scorecards and helping lead supplier performance management initiatives to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Innovation)

  • Supplier sourcing, negotiations and competitive bid facilitation

  • Driving change management and program adoption initiatives including relationship building, client presentations and stakeholder training

  • Leveraging existing VMS functionality and monitoring future technology enhancements to maximize value for clients including, but not limited to cost saving tracking, reporting and SOW competitive bid facilitation

  • Assisting with program operational and process optimization strategies including KPI development and tracking

  • Problem resolution and acting as an escalation point for service delivery challenges including supplier performance and contract management issues

  • Partnering with international program stakeholders to help ensure consistent global service delivery

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business or similar field

  • 5 years’ industry experience in procurement, sourcing, consulting and/or account management for service categories including Professional Services & Consulting, Contingent Labor, and IT Services

  • Demonstrated expertise in SOW industry trends, supplier landscape, sourcing strategies, and best practice pricing /commercial contractual terms for services spend.

  • Exposure working with MSP programs and VMS technology

  • Ability to influence across organization including senior level stakeholders

  • Ability to adapt to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of our clients

  • Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders or customers that have resulted in high customer satisfaction

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Experience conducting group presentations

  • Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Solid project management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel (minimal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SOW management experience within an MSP environment

  • Exposure or experience managing services categories including Engineering Services, Marketing or Facilities Services

  • Experience with Beeline

  • Experience with sales, business development and/or working with external clients
