Sales/Feedstock Manager Aromatics US - Houston, TX

Manage and Optimize margin across supply chain - from procurement of 3rd party feedstock (to supplement internal production) to production at Deer Park, TX, to negotiations with 3rd parties for sales contracts (total value in excess of $1 bln/year between feedstocks and products).
Core Heavy Olefins Aromatics Commercial representative for Aromatics. Margin optimization requires working with supply chain managers to ensure optimization of the short term result – as well as driving options to grow value in the medium to long term.
Work with Shell Trading as a market channel and with them create and deliver innovative value opportunities.
Ensure a business and contracting strategy is kept refreshed, reflects both internal and external value levers, and seeks profitable growth opportunities. Ensure delivered contracts reflect a dedicated care/excellence.
Implement strategies thru negotiation of both purchase and supply contracts with suppliers and customers – predominantly large multinational players.
Develop a growth strategy and champion/lead projects for the US Aromatics business.
Manage Margin delivery for Aromatics
Negotiate short to long term contracts for contract portfolio for BTX sales
Manage strong and effective relationships with diverse customers and suppliers. BTX sales generally represents a significant portion of a customer’s total costs and hence the relationship is often at senior levels. Pygas and reformate feedstocks are purchased from crackers and refineries and hence often requires a very different approach.
Optimize the value gained thru working with Shell Trading and grow value from this channel
Understand the opportunities and threats for the region in the short to long term and develop and implement concrete business/marketing plans to capture value from opportunities and mitigate against downsides of the threats.
Identify and develop new business opportunities using existing assets or thru skills such as trading. This includes working to support new projects (including change mgt) in Norco

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum seven (7) years experience Experience in marketing, market planning and margin management (especially Aromatics, Base Chemicals, Petrochemicals).
Experience in refinery economics optimization and/or oil markets/trading, gasoline blending
Experience in managing and building relationships with large B2B customers (or suppliers) and across internal organization interfaces.
Leadership, engagement including ability to manage key stakeholders and drive oneself as this job requires incumbent to be able to act independently.
