HARRIS COUNTY Program Support Coordinator (PHI Lab – Mental and Behavioral Health Tele-Psych) in Houston, Texas

Position Description

Under the supervision of the Mental and Behavioral Health Programs Manager, and oversight and guidance from the PHI Lab Team Lead, the Program Support Coordinator, DSRIP (PHI - Lab Mental and Behavioral Health Tele-Psych, will ensure the goals of the project are met and all aspects of the project are performed in a highly organized and efficient manner.

Day to Day Operations:

  • Coordinates Mobile Health Villages with the planning team to determine mental health needs in various communities
  • Identifies external community partners with mental health services
  • Organizes meetings and records meeting minutes
  • Orders project supplies and incentives as needed
  • Follows up on and schedules home assessments as necessary
  • Directs work activities of project volunteers and interns
  • Maintains project documentation and reports
  • Handles any issues that may arise
  • *Creative and Strategic Thinking:

  • Attends and actively participates in accelerator program sessions

  • Applies her/his design thinking skills to problem solving in a creative way, for a non-traditional and better project delivery
  • *Relationship Building:

  • Builds relationships with progressive organizations to create and sustain innovative partnerships

  • *Administrative Support:

  • Participates as an integral member of the administrative team to assure high quality services to community partners, program participants, and coworkers

  • Attends and participates in staff meetings
  • *Other Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned including special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Business, or a health-related field
  • One (1) year experience with program development, community engagement, staff development, and training in a health care setting
  • Basic skills using MS Office software such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions and related support services
  • Experience with mental health interventions and programs
  • Project coordination/management experience
  • Valid driver’s license (TX upon hire) and reliable personal vehicle. Will be required to travel locally within Harris County to various workshop sites

SALARY:

  • Commensurate With Experience
  • Based on 26 Pay Periods
