ExxonMobil Procurement Onboarding and Development Associate in Houston, Texas

Job Role Summary

The Procurement Onboarding and Development Associate will support the development needs for the organization. The position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and delivering employee onboarding programs within procurement, in accordance with organizational priorities, goals and objectives. The position will also support an organizational self help portal, aspects of this will include customer service care, procedure documentation, and ongoing training for orgazational needs.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Evaluates development needs of employees and manages programs, initiatives, and activities through the definition, development and execution of related methodologies, plans, processes and tools in accordance with organizational priorities, for procurement

  • Stays in touch of leading trends and best practices with onboarding, operational, and professional skills development

  • Provides consultative services to employees and management that identify learning objectives, goals and related solutions.

  • Facilitates curriculum to various levels of employees in both a classroom and online setting using various forms of media in regards to Procurement support

  • Conducts ongoing program evaluations to ensure effectiveness and makes and/or recommends modifications as necessary.

  • Provides recommendations for and/or assists with formulating, implementing and communicating Procurement related policies, procedures and best practices for ExxonMobil

  • Provides assistance with employee on-boarding, including distributing, receiving and processing all needs for new hires.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation and communication skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of onboarding and development exsperience

  • System Purchase-to-Pay experience

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Procurement / commercial functional expertise

  • Understanding of client business and objectives

  • Familiarity with/experience in procurement of event services

  • Leadership skills

  • Communication skills

  • Analytical skills / understanding of total system cost concept

  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills

  • Knowledge of purchase to pay process including enterprise resource planning systems

  • Project planning / execution skills
