Kelly Services Operations Manager in Houston, Texas

The Operations Manager will have the opportunity to interact with key decision makers/stakeholders, delivering consultative solutions for tactical/operational services on behalf of Kelly Services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages projects and/or staff and is responsible for direction, coordination, planning, and assigning work

  • Forecasts volume and workforce resources

  • Configures work productivity systems

  • Develops work processes

  • Executes work procedures, schedules, and expedites work flow

  • Makes necessary changes based on schedules, promotions, other anticipated events, and ongoing data/information

  • Monitors productivity; generates results

  • Analyzes results

  • Reviews customer service data

  • Records work productivity, customer service requests/complaints

  • Answers questions and recommends corrective services to address issues or customer complaints

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating other internal supplier inputs

  • Focus on strategy development and also escalation point for large scope project issues relative to clients, sites, tools, etc.

  • Develops plans and tactics for meeting and surpassing performance goals/ metrics, service level agreements, quality standards, and employee retention

  • Service Delivery to client base

  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through regular communication and building of strategic relationships

  • Identify and ensure we are engaged in activities that support customers' short and long term strategies

  • Meet and surpass customer performance goals/service level agreements

  • Hit financial targets

  • Analyze/measure results and make adjustments to achieve goals

  • Support business practice operational initiatives

  • Identify additional scope to be added to current operations

  • Ensure consistency in HR practices

  • Performance Management and Development of Staff

  • Motivates staff and is responsible for morale-building activities

  • Completes performance review of staff

  • Coaches and counsels staff to improve performance and address issues

  • Identifies staff development opportunities

  • Promotes training that will provide an opportunity for improved performance and career development.

Minimum Education and Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • Process and people supervision skills/experience, strategic, process aptitude, proactive, multi-task, problem solve, analyze, strong sense of team, upbeat, ability to lead and motivate others, works well in a collaborative environment, ability to manage a virtual team.

  • Prior Operations Management experience.

  • Previous experience in the Energy/Oil and Gas industry highly preferred.

  • Willing to travel across North America as needed.

  • Prior Project Management and Implementation experience.

  • Knowledge of Fieldglass
