This role will be assigned to Guest Supply. We are an industry leader in hospitality supplies, serving the world’s top hotel chains and independent properties. Backed by the industry’s largest sales force we offer over 30,000 quality products, including bath and bed linens, personal care amenities, guest room accessories, housekeeping supplies, small appliances, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and more.

JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for execution of proper delivery routing for customer delivered shipments, Transportation data metric analysis, reporting and TMS maintenance support.RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Routing – Identify the appropriate route code designation, ensure its properly updated and executed against through analytics and reporting.

Operations/Transportation Execution – Creation of relevant operational and transportation lead measurement metrics and well as development of models that will provide for cost reduction strategies to be able to be implemented.

Carrier Compliance – assurance that carriers are complying with all EDI messaging, service standards and customer requirements.

Weekly Reporting – created and distribute out on the various different weekly transportation related reports.

Operational and Transportation Related Projects

QUALIFICATIONSEducation

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent degree; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • 2 or 4-year college degree in business management, supply chain management or similar major preferred.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of logistics or transportation experience and/or training.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Related industry experience and/or process management certifications from APICS, PMI, ASQ, and/or CSCMP are highly desirable

Professional Skills

  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, DOT rules and regulations; preferred work methods and standard operating procedures (SOP); spreadsheet software and word processing software.

  • Skilled in making independent decisions in support of company policies and procedures on time.

  • Ability to successfully engage and lead individual and team discussions and meetings.

  • Solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner.

  • Work in a disciplined manner and capable of following established procedures, practices and comply with local, state and federal regulations.

  • Manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues.

  • Read, comprehend, write and speak English.

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Can read, analyze and interpret, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
