Your Role and Responsibilities
This is an Associate Partner position and will focus on program delivery for a large insurance claim transformation program program and over time will be expected to contribute to our continued growth through demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development.
You will help our government clients with technology enabled transformation to achieve their business objectives. In return, you can expect to learn leading practices in emerging technologies and exposure to a wide variety of business issues faced by the insurance industry in this era of business model evolution and digital change.
You will be expected to address the clients ongoing Claims Transformation imperatives through demonstrable understanding of their strategic objectives and most pressing business challenges, and bring thought leadership, insurance industry acumen & expertise and consulting skills to support the development and delivery of innovative solutions across the full Claims Management lifecycle.
Overall ownership for the successful delivery of the client Claims Transformation Program
Maintaining high client satisfaction by exceeding expectations and delivery excellence; build strong delivery teams with predictable performance
Working with delivery organizations to ensure staffing/talent strategy and investment is aligned with account growth and strategy
Translating winning proposals into referenceable client project delivery – leading medium to large project teams with responsibility for overall successful delivery
Inspiring and mentoring our consultants, with a focus on building expertise our clients value, external brand eminence and accelerating career advancement of strong/top performers
Advising clients on a variety of business process services that help identify, assess, manage, measure and transform the organization’s capabilities
Serving as a member of the practice leadership team, contributing to strategy, practice development, solution offerings development and talent management
Contributing to thought leadership and point of view materials aligned with leveraging insurance industry best practices in the Federal Government sector
Building senior line of business client relationships and a business pipeline of opportunities
Maintaining business controls for pipeline reporting and signings/revenue forecasting
Achieving personal signings, revenue and utilization objectives, in alignment with practice objectives
Understanding government client needs and respective commercial industry trends and develop winning strategies and proposals applying IBM’s delivery, consulting and technology and data capabilities
Reflecting IBM’s core values every day, in all interactions – internal and external
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
A Bachelor’s degree (preferably computer science, engineering, or related field) and approximately 20 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree (MBA or MS preferred) and approximately 15 years of related work experience.
At least 10 years of experience in a prior consulting or advisory role with at least 5 years of responsibilities for and demonstrated success in delivery, business development and account management with insurance clients (Strong preference for non-consulting experience to be in corporate role with isurance companies)
At least 5 years of relevant experience in any of the following areas:
Application/Package and technology platforms planning and implementation (e.g., Guidewire, Majesco, Oracle Insurance, Duck Creek, Insurity, OneShield, StoneRiver, Salesforce, Adobe, Unica/Interact etc.) across, Claims, Sales & Distribution, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, Finance, Legal and/or Risk Management.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Awareness of emerging technologies (e.g. Robotics Automation, Predictive Analytics, Cognitive/AI, IoT, Drones, Blockchain, Social and Mobile) and their applicability in the insurance industry
