NASA’s Mission Operations for the International Space Station is located at Johnson Space Center. On Jacobs’ JETS contract we provide engineering services to JSC. Come join us and be a vital part of operating the largest space station ever built. We’re looking for a Image Analyst.

The Image Analyst will be working Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and ISS related activities, and proposal development in the Image Science & Analysis Section. The work team consists of a diverse team of scientists and engineers performing complex image survey, image analysis, and image processing tasks for the International Space Station.

The selected candidate for this role will:

  • Provide imagery planning and concept of operations development expertise.

  • Follow Orion MPCV vehicle camera system development.

  • Track and verify requirements development.

  • Develop documents related to pre-flight imagery requirements and mission imagery management.

  • Perform requirements planning and integration for ISS Image Analysis Tasks.

  • Perform specific tasks including ISS external survey and anomaly services.

  • Develop and deliver reports.

  • Provide expertise in ISS and other planning meetings.

  • Write proposals and budgets for new projects and partnerships.

  • Work other miscellaneous tasks for the NASA Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science (ARES) Division as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • B.S. degree in in Physics or closely related field from an accredited university and a minimum of fourteen (14) years direct scientific experience, or a MS degree from an accredited science school and twelve (12) years of direct scientific experience, or Ph.D. and nine (9) years direct scientific experience

  • Experience with writing proposals and budgets for new projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferences:

  • Experience in the acquisition, management, manipulation, and analysis of imagery in a multi-discipline technical environment is desired.

  • Previous NASA experience is a plus.

  • Space Program Photographic and Video experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with the International Space Station is desired.
