The Bergaila Companies Corporate Financial Analyst in Houston, Texas
We are currently seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst to work with a leading EPC company based out of Houston, TX. Our client has a presence in 48 countries worldwide, with state-of-the-art industrial assets on all continents and their own fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installations and subsea construction, as well as providing a wide range of services, including design, engineering, construction, fabrication and environmental services.
This position will support the global Corporate Controlling function in providing timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting for the Corporate segment.
The Corporate Financial Analyst is also responsible for:
Collect, consolidate, and analyze cost forecasting inputs received from management.
Work with cost center/project managers to validate annual budgets.
Track actual costs against budget/forecast and work with cost center/project managers to obtain explanations for variances.
Interact with cost center/project managers to deliver an understanding of the cost base and provide detail, as requested, on actual spend.
Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations for potential solutions.
Act as the Finance liaison to the global Corporate Functions (i.e.: finance, legal, QHSES, marketing & communications) by answering ad-hoc requests for information.
Develop process documentation, including local work instructions, as necessary.
Develop standard Excel templates for use in financial reviews.
Complete ad-hoc projects as needed.
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting; advanced degree a plus.
5+ years minimum finance and accounting experience.
Previous experience in general accounting procedures is preferred.
Previous experience in a fast-paced corporate FP&A environment is preferred.
Experience with large-scale ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or IFS) is preferred.
Experience with Oracle SmartView (Hyperion) is required.
Ability to work independently under general guidance and/or with self-initiative.

Demonstrates exceptional planning, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
