The Compass One Training Center Director will manage the Training Center and training curriculums for EVS and FANS associates and ensure that training methods and materials support a strategic training vision. The Training Center Director will ensure all necessary training materials are identified and available and training materials remain up-to-date, complete and accessible. The Training Center Director will also be responsible for tracking all trainings for Morrison and Crothall employees and will oversee the 3 training managers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Define roadmap for associate training, factoring in best practice and lessons learned with existing methods and materials as well as the creation of new materials when necessary* Manage the training content * Present and deliver hands on training programs* Interact with region and field partners on a regular basis, developing a credible presence with them* Consult with all managers and region leadership to assess their learning needs. Fulfill those needs with existing programs, outsourcing or developing customized training programs and learning experiences* Partner with Region Leadership to manage field compliance and respond to gaps * Ensure the quality of the training deliverables when others are presenting the training* Work closely with the Region Director Human Resources to develop and manage the new manager/employee orientation program and onboarding process * Ability to partner with client system education team* Demonstrate and support the standardization of company process and programs across the Memorial Hermann Health System* Identify compliance training gaps and develop action plan to close gaps* Partner with safety and use training to drive results* Oversee and manage the 3 Training Center Managers* Additional training responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience* 4 years of training/educating experience* Must have excellent stand-up delivery and facilitation skills that drive key learning outcomes and motivate application beyond the classroom* Clear understanding of adult learning and the role it plays in facilitating learning* Proven experience in creating, implementing and measuring a training strategy, including project timelines, budget, job allocation, measuring and reporting results * Proficiency in understanding and analyzing technical information and re-interpreting it into training materials * Ability to create/adapt customized training/learning programs* Exemplary interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills * Strong organizational and planning skills* Extreme attention to detail* Self-directed and proactive* Readily accepts ownership and maintains a positive, supportive attitude with a ‘team’ mentality
