Landpoint Business Development - Electric Utility Sales in Houston, Texas

Duties and Expectations

  • Develop and achieve business relationships for Landpoint LLC in the southern-central US

  • Drive sales revenue through your contacts and relationships in close coordination with other Landpoint professionals and at the direction of the VP of Sales.

  • Direct the planning, preparations and write proposals if needed

  • Manage multiple projects/demands

  • Organize and attend industry networking events, trade shows and conferences

  • Prospecting and reaching out to new business leads

  • Aggressively drive revenue growth through superior customer-focused sales and service

  • Proactively develop new customer contacts and build long-lasting business relationships

  • Listen to and evaluate customer needs and recommend/develop solutions utilizing a consultative approach

  • Be a leader by generating ideas/concepts to meet your clients’ objectives and strategies

  • Assist PM’s in collection of money

  • Assisting with the creation of sales materials and presentations

  • Attending trade shows and conferences

  • Be a leader in utilizing the company’s CRM system

  • Preparing a variety of reports and other materials

  • Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the office

  • Ability to travel as needed

    Experience selling a service or product in the following target markets is preferred

  • Engineering / Surveying / Architecture

  • Electric Utilities

  • Alternative/Renewable Energy

    Required Qualification

  • 5 or more years of experience in sales and business development

  • 5 or more years of electrical utility experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Management, or other Business related curriculum preferred but not required

  • Social Media Presence and understanding preferred

  • Proven track record of ability to excel in attaining maximum sales results through successful interaction with established customers and the development of new customers

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Able to thrive in a fast pace environment

  • Self-starter, self-motivated; capable of staying focused without close supervision

  • Ability to travel as needed
