Role synopsis:

Activity Integration is a subset of the Integrated Planning process. The Activity Integration process comprises of Strategic Integration and Tactical Integration and together they describe a systematic mechanism by which regional, functional and site strategies are translated into executable site schedules.

This role will act as the Upstream administrator of the scheduling toolset, aid the segment process for identification and management of new systems/tool requirements and liaise as necessary to support agreed linkages to other Functions/sub-function’s

Key accountabilities:

  • Promote and communicate the toolset deployment / improvement strategy that enables Upstream to make the best use of the scheduling tools

  • Develop scheduling toolset training content in support of capability-building efforts

  • Provide guidance and direction in the consistent use of scheduling tools

  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to achieve and sustain alignment of tools, processes, systems, training and coaching with regard to the use of scheduling tools

  • Interface with other Functions/sub-functions as directed by the Activity Integration Systems Team Leader to ensure fit-for-purpose tool configuration in support of the cross-functional workflow.

  • Update scheduling tools documentation in support of the Integrated Process.

  • Provide all required reporting information to IT&S to ensure availability and reliability of scheduling tools

  • Act as the Upstream toolset administrator as designated by the Activity Integration Systems Team Leader.

  • Lead special projects as required by the Activity Integration Systems Team Leader

  • Support the value analysis and business/technical design of any interfaces between the scheduling tools and other environments

Essential Education:

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years’ experience (or 2-year degree with minimum 10 years’ experience) in system application support and administration, user support and training, comprehensive project management experience; or equivalent combination.

Desirable criteria and qualifications:

  • PMP or PMI helpful

  • Scheduling tool implementation experience

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • A detailed knowledge of Strategic and Tactical Activity Integration processes and can provide technical direction in using the Activity Integration Toolset across a range of functions.

  • Possess an understanding of Upstream system architecture supporting the Integrated Workflow and the interface requirements of the various Functions/sub-functions.

  • A detailed knowledge of Strategic and Tactical Activity Integration processes and can provide technical direction in using the Activity Integration Toolset

  • Ability to understand and articulate the business impact of technology changes to both Operations as well as IT&S.

  • Has awareness of the Performance Improvement Cycle (PIC) and how it can be used to drive conformance to the requirements of OMS.

  • Exceptional internal and external communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential.

  • Practitioner-level experience with Primavera administration

  • Experience with data analytics tools

  • Develop custom training materials or sessions
