As an Accountant - Multifamily with Hines, you will execute financial transactions and ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of accounting information for a specific project and/or business entity, and assist with accounts payable functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate the delivery of invoices to third party processing group
Review invoices and ensure they are entered correctly
Issue checks, setup and maintain vendor files (including 1099 reporting)
Assist with any vendor inquiries across multiple properties
Process purchase card expenses and ensure billback charges are processed on a monthly basis
Responsible for the recording of ongoing cash activity
Assist with month-end close procedures including preparation of account reconciliations
Maintain the accounting filing system in accordance with policy
Assist and Controller with projects as needed, including monthly reporting
Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of accounting information as defined by or Controller
Minimum Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline from an accredited institution
Two or more years' professional accounting experience
Experience with Entrata software strongly preferred
Strong knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Perform numerical and financial calculations
Analyze and interpret various types of data in order to draw conclusions and solve problems
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
