What We?re Looking For:

We need a UX/UI designer who can be responsible for fulfilling usability and design tasks and lead projects during our development lifecycle. This would include items for our website and digital properties. We really want someone who is passionate, creative, pragmatic and who loves to exceed expectations! We said our customers were important to us, so it?s critical that you can empathize and learn our customer needs and behaviors. We want you to help us identify opportunities and successfully transform them into intuitive and elegant solutions.

You will be a key member of our eCommerce Digital Marketing team and work with our production team, your fellow design teammates and our stakeholders to drive a user-centered design and experience. Ultimately, our website and digital properties that you create will not only need to look amazing, but be an extension of our brand voice and execute our business strategy.

To Summarize, You Will:

  • Translate our brand into a digital design language that scales across web and digital properties including responsive website and mobile, digital advertising, social media and Amazon

  • Convey design ideas in tangible forms: sketches, wires, prototypes, and annotated asset libraries

  • Create overall concepts for the user experience within a business webpage or product, ensuring all interactions are intuitive and easy for customers

  • Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website, email and digital properties, from the layout menus, call to action buttons and drop-down options to colors and fonts

  • Build storyboards to conceptualize designs and convey project plans to peers and management

  • Account for and track the human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design

  • Agile based, design-thinking, user-centric, empirical projects that accelerate results

  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback

  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

    What You Need for this Position:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI design

  • Well-rounded knowledge of design principles and techniques

  • Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop

  • Proficient in web optimization principles and other production methods

  • Cross-platform web & mobile development experience (iOS, Android, etc.)

  • Experience creating icons and other custom illustrations for experiences

  • Experience creating storyboards and site mapping

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data for the best possible outcome

  • Ability to take feedback and use it to improve your work

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently

  • Continued education and research into UI trends and current design strategy and emerging technology and technique

  • Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS and comparable languages preferred
