A key role has opened in our Measurements department due to retirement. You will be able to train with one of the top Metrology Calibration Technicians in Industry as you take his role. As a CMM Programmer/Metrology Technician, you will be instrumental in projects ranging from First Article Inspection to New Product Development.

You will be based in our facility 20 miles Northwest of Dallas, TX. We will provide relocation assistance to help you move to tax free Texas.

What You Will Be Doing

You will perform state of the art visual and dimensional product inspection under close tolerances utilizing your deep knowledge and advanced precision measurement equipment in order to ensure alignment to quality and engineering standards.

You will provide technical support by maintaining, building, developing and improving measurement processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing data during product development and manufacturing. You will also evaluate customer requirements and implement necessary measurement protocols.

-Verify conformance of products and/or processes using appropriate measuring instruments, including fixed and variable gauges and optical/laser/hard probe coordinate measurement systems.

-Program CMMs and similar state of the art measurement systems to inspect products..

-Act as Subject Matter expert in blueprint reading and interpretation of customer Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.

-Conduct Gage R&R studies.

-Use work orders, drawings, or similar acceptance criteria to determine final product conformance with requirements.

-Use analytical skills to perform first article inspection of products.

-Set up, monitor, test, and adjust state of the art measurement devices and test equipment.

-Perform calibrations on measuring and recording instruments.

What You Need for this Position

-Associates degree in Applied Sciences or related

-3+ yeas of quality/engineering systems experience in a manufacturing environment.

-Strong background in Math, Trigonometry and Geometry.

-Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Gage R&R Process.

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) plans for manufacturing.

Experience in any of the following areas would have us really excited to speak with you:

-Experience with PCDMIS and/or Geomatic software.

-TL 9000 or ISO 9001 training

-Six Sigma Green Belt or DMAIC project experience

-Experience with Zeiss/Calypso CMM Programming
