Account Manager for full-cycle accounting

A growing and dynamic software company is looking for a results-oriented, strong Accounting Manager for immediate hire. Daily operations are handled by the Accounting Manager and can include handling ledger entries and reconciliations, the general ledger system, financial statements, regulatory reporting, and additional duties. The individual in this role will ideally establish and scale the company's accounting and finance operations. Stationed at Grapevine, Texas, this job opening is a tremendous opportunity for candidates seeking work on a long-term temporary basis with a company that will appreciate your efforts and reward your results.

Major responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes

Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlines

Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook

Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

• CPA/MBA preferred

• 7+ years of recent relevant financial experience

• Earlier work involving Excel VBA

• Month-end Financial experience preferred

• Command of Monthly Account Reconciliation

• Adeptness in Lease Accounting

• Solid understanding of month end closings

• Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger

• Practical knowledge of SAP ECC

• General familiarity with SAP

• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

• SAP HANA experience highly preferred

• Month-end Close Activities experience

• Account reconciliation experience

• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
